Five Aggies Selected in the 2008 NFL Draft

Five Texas A&M football players were selected in the 2008 NFL Draft last weekend. It was the most Aggies selected in any single NFL Draft since 2003 when six A&M players heard their names called. Achieving their dreams of getting drafted to the NFL were tight end Martellus Bennett, offensive center Cody Wallace, defensive tackle Red Bryant, defensive end Chris Harrington and offensive tackle Corey Clark. Bennett, from Alief, Texas, was the Aggies’ lone first day selection, getting picked in the second round and No. 61 overall by the five-time Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys. Childress Inducted Into Texas Sports Hall of Fame

Former Texas A&M All-American defensive end Ray Childress was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame on Tuesday at the annual banquet at the Ferrell Center on the Baylor campus.
